  Job Satisfaction

  Good morning.Ladies and gentlemen, it's my honor to be here today to give you this speech. My name is susan.I’d like to talk about job satisfaction. Now, please look at the powerpoint.I have dividied my talk into three parts:firstly,the importance of job satisfaction; secondly,the factors of job satisfaction;finally,how to achieve job satisfaction.

  Now, let’s start with the first part: the importance of job satisfaction.

  A job provides an individual with the necessary means to remain satisfied in almost every aspect of life such as leisure,health and social life.Several key factors are thought to be critical for an employee to achieve job satisfaction.

  Let’s turn to the second part: the factors of job satisfaction. A reasonable salary is of course the most important factor in job satisfaction.In many people’s minds,an ideal job is first of all a well-paid one, which makes the employee feel that he is fairly rewarded for what he has done for the company.Another important element of job satisfaction is the nature of the job itself. Job satisfaction can never be achieved if the employee’seducation,skils and interests.Finally,job satisfaction is closely associated with being part of the decision-making process in the company as well as having opportunities for promotion..

  Let’s leave that there, now, let’s come to the last part: how to achieve job satisfaction. for an individual employee,finding the right job and trying to stay positive minght be the first step towards achieving job fulfillment

  and satisfaction.

  I’ll briefly summarize the main parts. Let me just run over the key points again. Firstly,the importance of job satisfaction;secondly,the factors of job satisfaction;finally,how to achieve job satisfaction.

  In conclusion, job satisfaction plays an important role in the company and individual.It is the key index to influence the company performance.So we should try our best to achieve it.

  Hello, everyone~ my name is Popo, and today I’m gonna talk about Couch commerce, which is a new phrase for all of us.

  Comscore , a very famous market research company in USA, recently published a report which shows nearly half of tablet ['t?bl?t] users are shopping online using them. Tablets will not replace computers, but they provide a much more enjoyable environment for content editors and merchants to catch users’ attention and transform them into couch-buyers.

  美国市场研究公司Comscore最近发布的一份报告显示,将近一半的平板电脑用户用平板电脑在线购物。平板电脑不会取代普通电脑,但它们提供了一个更加舒适的环境,让网络编辑和商家能够吸引用户的注意并将他们转化为“沙发消费者”。

  Couch commerce refers to the phenomenon of people doing their shopping using tablet and smart phone devices. The term "Couch commerce" is derived from the fact that many people will be sitting on their couch (or in the bath, or outside on the balcony, etc) while they do their online shopping this year. 沙发商务指的是人们用平板电脑和智能手机购物的现象。“沙发商务”这个词源于(也可用Originate in)很多人网上购物的时候都是坐在沙发上(或者浴室、阳台等)。

  With the introduction of the iPad from Apple, tablet sales have skyrocketed over the past couple of years. Online retailers have jumped on the bandwagon by introducing versions of their online storefronts that cater to people who use tablet devices.

  随着苹果公司iPad的引进,平板电脑的销售量在过去几年猛涨。在线零售商跟随潮流也给他们的网店引进了适应平板电脑用户要求的版本。 The introduction of the iPad and similar tablet devices has completely changed the buying experience forever. People no longer sit right in front of their computer screens, highly focuse on their task to find best deals.

  IPad以及同类平板电脑的引进彻底改变了人们的网购生活。人们再也不需要正襟危坐在电脑屏幕前专门购物了。 Imagine this: Computer users are sitting right in front of their screen, highly focused on their task (finding the best deals), while tablet users are relaxing on the couch, enjoying nice content (pictures, videos, stories). Which one do you prefer? 想象一下:普通电脑用户坐在电脑屏幕前,全神贯注寻找最划算的商品,而平板电脑用户则舒适地坐在沙发上,欣赏着图片、视频以及小故事等精美素材。是你的话,你喜欢哪一种呢?

  It’s about business, not technology. We can describe this context as couch-browsing, and by extension describe the act of browsing a catalogue or shopping through a tablet app as couch commerce.

  这跟技术无关,这就是生意。我们可以把平板电脑用户的这种体验称为“沙发浏览”,推而广之,坐在沙发上通过平板电脑上的应用程序浏览购物目录或者进行网购就可以称为

  “沙发商务”。

  But , couch commerce is different from e-commerce and m-commerce, due to the context['kɑnt?kst]: Users are not sitting at a desk, nor on the street nor in a coffee bar. They are comfortably installed in the most welcoming furniture of their home: the couch. Browsing a catalogue on your couch puts you in a very different state of mind than at a desk or in public transportation. You feel relaxed and confident. What better state can a merchant hope for?

  因为使用方式的不同,“沙发商务”与电子商务和移动商务是不同的。用户不是坐在桌边,也不是走在街上或者置身咖啡馆内,而是坐在家中最舒适的所在——沙发上。坐在沙发上浏览购物目录时的状态与坐在桌边或者身处公交车上的状态完全不同。你会觉得很放松,而且信心满满。这么好的购物状态,商家上哪儿找去啊?   Today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.

  First, i'd like to define the word"talent" in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say,they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ? because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more literated.more and more people go to university,more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return,talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games……

  To sum up, talents will play a more and more important role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all,thank you.

  宋:Nice to meet you too.Oh,you haven’t met my colleague Chen.Chen,this is Ms.Wu and this is Ms.Zhou.

  廖: How do you do.

  武: How do you do, Mr.Chen? I’ve been looking forward to meeting you! (先伸手与chen 握手)

  周: How do you do,Mr.Chen.(与chen 握手)

  周:Did you have a nice journey?

  宋:Not bad except some turbulence.

  武:Well,you must be very tired after such a long flight.We have reserved you two rooms.Shall we take you straight to the hotel?

  宋和廖:Yes,thanks .That would be best.

  周:Let me help you with your luggage.

  廖:Oh,they are too heavy for you.I can manage.

  周:OK. I will drive our car here.Please wait a moment.

  SB: Yes,the man should do the tough work with himself.Now let’s move on to the scene 2, let’s see what they will say in the car and how do they arrange their schedule.

  2.在车上,(In the Car) Arrangements

  武:I will call you tomorrow so that we can set up a schedule of appointments. Is that OK?

  宋:OK! Could you please depict the agenda mainly in advance ?

  武:Certainly. You stady here for 3 days,one day’s talk ,two day’s weekend. By the way ,arrange some necessary meals or banquets.

  宋:I see.That’s good.

  廖:Yeah, I see that your Chinese are precisian.

  周:It’s very kind of you to saying so. Now let me take you straight to the hotel. 宋和廖:Thank you very much.

  周和武:It’s my pleasure.

  SB: after they have settled in the hotel, they would probably going to do their business work. Let’s move on to scene 3.

  3. At the Meeting Room

  Is everybody here?

  周:We’re still missing a few guys.

  武:Since alomst everyone is here ,let’s begin the meeting.We can fill in others as they arrive.

  周、宋和廖:All right!

  武:Good afternoon, everyone. Let’s call the meenting to the order. We will discuss the issue of the potential market of our new project. First of all, let me outline the three issues we are going to cover this afternooon: first, Ms.Zhou will report on the market positioning of our new product ; second, we will discuss the publicity and promotional campaigns to be launched next month; third, Mr.Chen will report on the possibility of developing a website to sell our products. Now........

  (各位上午好,首先,我来概括一下今天下午将要探讨的三个问题:一,报告我们公司新产品的市场定位;二,讨论下个月将开展的宣传促销活动;三,建立网站来销售我们公司产品的可能性。)

  宋:Excuse me ,Ms.Wu.

  武:OK. What do you have for us ,Ms,Song.?

  宋:I think that Mr.Chen’s report is crucial to broadening your market ,so we should hear what Mr.Chen has to say now.

  周:I agree with you there. Are you ready , Mr.Chen?

  廖:I think your sales department needs to be more aggressive. On account of superior quality and competitive price, you used to be the market leader. However, there’s little new business coming in now.

  宋:This is due to the world wide depression. The general trend of trade has been low during this period. As a result, orders from abroad have diminished and lots of goods have lain idle in warehouses.

  宋和廖:Thank you,Ms Zhou,and Ms.Wu.

  廖:I’m really a bit nervous now.I konw nothing about your table manners.It would be in bad taste for a guest to make blunders.

  宋:Yeah.We have the same feeling.

  武:Don;t worry,Ms.Song and Mr.Chen.As for table manners ,there is only one rule you must observe. That is to make yourselves at home.

  宋:No wonder people say the Chinese are hospitable.Now ,I have seen it with my own eyes.

  周:Ms.Song and Mr.Chen,Which do you prefer,Brandly,Maotai or wine?

  宋:Brandly and Maotai are too strong for me .Just a glass of dry wed wine.Ok ?Mr.Chen.

  廖:It’s up to you.

  武:But Juigui spirits doesn’t go to the head.Would you like to try it?

  宋:Well,I wil try a little.

  廖:Yes.

  周:Would you like to use chopsticks or knife and fork?

  廖:I think I will try chopsticks and see if I can manange.

  宋:I also want to have try to use chopsticks.

  武:Let me show you.Look, at first place both sticks between the thumb and the fore finger. Then , keep one still and move the other, so as to make them work like pincers.

  宋和廖:Let me try ..... Well, how is that?

  武:Fine, you are learning fast.

  周和武:Well,to your health and success in business.Cheers.
